Portrait Photo Guidelines
Upload 1-3 clear photos of yourself. The ideal submission includes three angles: front-facing, ¾ view, and side profile.
Ideal: Three Angles
- Lighting: Even, natural lighting with no harsh shadows
- Expression: Neutral expression (no smiling or exaggerated expressions)
- Framing: Face centered, photo taken at head height
- Resolution: Sharp and high quality - facial features should be clearly visible
- Clear face: No sunglasses, hats, or hair covering your face
- No filters: Do not apply any filters or digital alterations
- Single person: Only you should be in the photos
Ancestry Report Guidelines
Upload screenshots of your AncestryDNA ethnicity estimate. We need clear images showing your ancestry percentages by region.
Example: AncestryDNA Results
- AncestryDNA only: We currently only accept AncestryDNA results (not 23andMe or other services)
- Show percentages: Make sure all region names and percentages are clearly visible
- Multiple screenshots: If your results don't fit in one screenshot, upload multiple images
- Scroll and capture: Capture all ancestry regions, including smaller percentages
- No maps: We only need the percentage list, not the map view
